Domestic Shipping

UPS ground service is our primary means of shipping. However, for an added shipping charge we will send UPS Next Day, 2nd Day, 3 Day Select, etc. We insure all packages for full value. Alaska and Hawaii residents are charged the exact dollar amount for the freight service they request. We will use other carriers upon customers request but there may be added fees. Please note when using the USPS, there are maximum insurance values allowed depending on the service requested. And there is a $3.00 handling fee for all USPS shipments. USPS shipping charges are determined by the weight and size of the package.

Foreign Shipping

Although UPS is our primary carrier, we often use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for Foreign shipments. We insure all packages for full value. Please note that there are insurance limits when using the USPS. Shipping charges are determined by both the weight and the size of the package. There is a $3.00 handling fee for all USPS shipments. Customs and Duty charges are the customers responsibility. If a customer chooses to devalue a shipment, payment must be made by bank check or money order. The Caboose will not accept credit cards when devaluing a shipment. We hope that you understand our situation.

Layaway Policy

The Caboose Layaway Policy requires a 25% deposit within 7 days of order and equal payments of 25% every 30 days. If the minimum deposit is not received within 7 days, the model will be returned to inventory. If the model is not paid for within the 90 day period, the model will be returned to inventory with a possible restocking fee. Models owned by The Caboose may be put on Layaway. Consignment models may NOT be placed on Layaway.

Return Policy

Of course, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to The Caboose. We feel that 14 days is a reasonable time in which to return a model. Please note that some models may have a 10% restocking fee.

Hold Policy

A customer may put a model on a 24 hour hold if the customer needs time to research the item. Only serious inquiries will be held.
