The Caboose Consignment Fee is 20% of the Selling Price of the model.
The Caboose will only Consign those models that are:
A.) In Good condition.
B.) Fairly Priced According to Current Market Value.
C.) Not Currently Available in Our Inventory.
D.) Left For Sale For At Least 90 Days.
All models consigned at The Caboose are thoroughly examined and serviced
by our staff. All minor problems are handled at that time. In the event of major problems,
the Consignor will be notified prior to any work done. The cost of the repair will be the
owner's responsibility.
Consigned Models may be advertised on the Internet, in Model Railroader Magazine or any other Caboose publications.

The Caboose Lay-a-way requires a 25% deposit within 7 days and equal
payments of 25% every 30 days. If the model is not paid for in the 90 day period, then the
model will be returned to inventory. Models owned by The Caboose may be put on Lay-a-way.
Consignment models may NOT be placed on Lay-a-way.

The Caboose is always taking reservations for Future Releases.
|
Importers sometimes announce models that may never be produced, therefore
it is difficult for the Retailer as well as the Customer to plan on Future models. The
Caboose will take Reservations on these models without any deposits. However, when the
Importer notifies The Caboose that the model is being produced and will be available
shortly, The Caboose will notify the Customer and at that time require a 10%
Non-Refundable Deposit. If a definite price is not available at that time, then The
Caboose staff will be able to estimate the price of the model.

The Caboose will Hold a model for 7 days while waiting for a deposit. If the minimum of 25% deposit is not received in 7 days, then the model will be returned to inventory. An E-Mail inquiry does not Hold a model.

The Caboose is interested in purchasing collections. We will buy
entire collections (including PLASTIC, DIE-CAST, BOOKS, and RAILROADIANA).
Call The Caboose with details pertaining to the items you have for sale, or
in the case of larger collections send a list by fax, email or snail mail.
